Why is the point limited to America? Regulating speech is bad regardless of the country.
And who nominated you to tell other nations what is good or bad for them? If you want a say in Australian politics and laws, perhaps you should become an Australian. I'm pretty sure if Australians came here and told us we needed to limit free speech, they'd be told to fuck right off.

What is wrong with questioning/criticizing/challenging the laws of other countries?

I would hope they'd be told to fuck the right off because limiting free speech it awful.

If you want a part of governing other countries, move to the one of your choice. They would be told to fuck right off because we are a sovereign nation.

So one should not criticize the laws of other countries. What about other states? If I live in Texas can I go to Maryland to question people about their ridiculous gun laws?

I didn't say anything about criticizing, but there's a difference between criticizing and actively going someplace and stirring up shit. You can talk shit about Maryland's gun laws all you want, but that doesn't mean you have the right to go to Maryland and violate their gun laws.

Seriously, dude, this conversation is getting to be as fucking stupid as "upgrading" to Xenforo.

I'm strictly talking about going to another place to criticize their laws. According to your own reasoning, I should only go to Maryland to criticize their gun laws if I'm taking part in governing Maryland.

She's not over there criticizing their laws, she's attempting to violate their laws.

The great thing about this broad is she's a low-rent Candice Owens or Milo Yippidipolis. She pretends to want to "have a debate" like all the other free speech dipshits but, like them, she's really just being an asshole. The cop in the video knows that so he told her to fuck off. As Nomad pointed out, Australia is under no obligation to play by her rules. She can say what she wants here but really should stay the fuck home if she doesn't know how to act outside.

As to how far is far enough to get to a mosque to criticize it, apparently the answer is, as before, fuck off. Why hasn't she gone to an American mosque to criticize it? She could, but they'd probably ignore her or tell her to fuck off because it's obvious what she's doing.

The neighborhood is called Lakemba and you can Google it. It appears to be a nice safe place and not some sharia sanctuary where women are beaten and goats sacrificed and buildings blown up. According to one article I saw, Muslims are 2% of the population there. This dumb bitch needs to go home and find a real job.

But she isn't. She wants to go to a mosque and interview people about Islam. That is not against the law in Australia (I'm guessing), the problem would be people's reaction. In other words, because some people might respond negatively to her questioning Islam to people near a mosque, she was not allowed to question Islam to people near a mosque.

I think her point was to illustrate how Australia placates and coddles Muslims at the expense of regulating speech. The cop admitted in the video that people would not react well to her walking by the mosque interviewing people, and since people would not be able to control their tempers at Islam being criticized, she was not allowed to proceed.

Well, you answered your own question and you're pretty much right. The US does not coddle Muslims to the extent Australia does (if at all). I'd imagine if she attempted to do that here in the US she would not have been stopped.

 As far as I understood the point she was making, she made it.

Both she and the cop knew that her bullshit would cause a breach of the peace. The officer prevented it. She is not Australian, and her Constitutional right to free speech means fuckall there.

So you're saying that the cop (and she) knew that her walking around asking people questions about Islam might cause some of those people to lose control and break the law. Is this not the same reasoning when people say women shouldn't wear slutty outfits because some men may not be able to control themselves?

She is not Australian, and her Constitutional right to free speech means fuckall there.
You're the only one here talking about the American based "right to free speech". :rolls:

Should she have been allowed to go to the Mosque and stir up trouble? YES.

Does she have a right to do so under Australian Law? Apparently not.

Therefore the only outrage is that Australia has shittly laws and a larger double standard when it comes to protecting Islam over Christianity than most "Western" nations.

Also, she is hot!. Does she cuddle for money?

I feel like her entire schtick is like walking into a theater and yelling fire. She is going to a place with the specific intent to stir up anger. She wants to go to a mosque to criticize Islam, not interview people. She specifically wants to go to bash them. Sure Australia doesn't want that. She didn't do any comparison however. She didn't ask the cop if she walked to a Catholic church and criticized Catholicism if that would be ok. She just pushed the hot buttons and then declared victory.

I wouldn't walk into gang territory wearing opposing gang colors knowing what I was doing.

To be fair we both know no cop is going to stop her walking around a "catholic neighborhood." No media would have been called. And no one would have stopped her from entering any church.

If she went to Belfast and began walking along Falls Road with a couple of mopes with cameras in tow asking the locals about the Queen of England, the authorities would soon be telling her to move along.

Are you saying I referred to America's right of free speech? Show me.

Fact is you can't. I have been talking about regulating speech in a broad sense and purposely never referenced our first amendment.

Any society that claims to come from the liberal tradition should a a certain reverence and protection for free speech, even that which may offend. That's the point she is trying to make.

She is forcing a country that claims to be based on democratic principles to either demonstrate a protection of political speech vs an authoritarian approach that avoids conflict.

Protecting speech that might offend or cause upset is really what freedom of speech is all about. If the only protected speech is speech that people like, there is none.

As a principle freedom of speech is not restricted to the US, we just embody it better than most.
